Back & Forth Magazine Issue #1

Back & Forth is an independent print publication highlighting the connections between young creative communities in London and other cities in Europe. Each issue will focus on a different European city, with an emphasis on those who exist in some way between the two - those who have relocated, a couple split between two places, or those with one foot in each place - living back and forth, neither here nor there. Alongside this, the magazine will try to gain a sense of what makes these cities unique, asking young, local artists and writers to document the place they call home, for better or worse.

Based in a city at risk of isolating itself, Back & Forth wants to show how we can all benefit from outside influences, a change of scene, a culture shock. There is more that unites us than divides us, but what divides us can be just as important.

The first issue of Back & Forth is based in London & Paris, and features original stories, interviews, poetry and artwork from some of the cities' most exciting young creatives.
